LOTR Elven (inspired) Dress

This "dress" is actually made up of a separate top and skirt which I made for my extended project in college. Because I was allowed to choose my own project title I decided to make a dress inspired by the costumes worn by the elves in The Lord of the Rings and the first Hobbit film.

the top was inspired by Lord Elrond's armor and the skirt is pretty self explanatory

I made my own sewing patterns for the whole project. for the top I used faux upholstery leather which I lined with cotton and for the skirt I used cotton which I dyed red because the only cotton that I could find that was wide enough was white. I'm very happy with how it turned out but if I were to make it again at some point (which I might) I would change the back of the top a bit and probably alter the off the solder sleeves because they are a bit restricting, I would also love to try and use real leather instead of faux leather because that would probably look amazing
